Partner · Behaviour & performance under pressure
FightClinic.nl
Behaviour determines performance — especially under pressure. FightClinic trains it where it becomes visible: on the mat.
Who is FightClinic?
FightClinic.nl (FightClinic) is a training organisation based in The Hague that uses martial arts to develop behaviour under pressure, and a partner of Martial Arts Group (MAG). Rather than teaching theory in a meeting room, FightClinic creates real pressure on the mat, makes behaviour visible and then helps people and teams develop and steer it. Its registered methodology, 5 Vingers 1 Vuist®, follows four steps: make behaviour visible, analyse it, develop it and measure it. FightClinic works with companies, schools, youth care and day-activity settings, sports teams and individuals, with formats ranging from a single team experience to performance programmes that include a baseline, training, reflection and a final report. Martial Arts Group (MAG) connects FightClinic with corporate clients, gyms, federations and athletes, and sees its work as clear proof of what martial arts can contribute beyond the competition floor: focus, communication, ownership and resilience.

About the partner
What does FightClinic do?
FightClinic starts from an observation familiar to every fighter: performance is not determined by what people know, but by what they do when things get difficult. Under pressure, decisions are postponed, communication deteriorates and responsibility becomes blurred.
FightClinic designs training environments where that pressure is real, so individuals and groups experience how they respond. That experience makes behaviour concrete and open to discussion — and from there, targeted skills such as communication, focus and decision-making under pressure can be trained.
Which services and products does FightClinic offer?
- Team experiences: a first intervention that shows how a team functions under pressure
- Performance programmes for organisations, including a baseline, training, reflection and final report
- Programmes for sports teams: intake and team analysis, training under pressure, reflection and application
- Programmes for schools and for youth care and day activities
- Personal training for individuals
- An academy built around FightClinic's own methodology

The method
What is the '5 Vingers 1 Vuist' method?
5 Vingers 1 Vuist® (five fingers, one fist) is the registered methodology that FightClinic uses to develop behaviour under pressure. The five fingers stand for self-insight, setting direction, self-management, resilience and connection; together they form a fist — a strong, united team. The method follows four steps: make behaviour visible, analyse it, develop it and measure it. As FightClinic puts it, this is not a one-off training but a system for behaviour that keeps functioning when it matters. In practice, FightClinic uses martial arts exercises on the mat to create real pressure, so that participants experience how they respond instead of discussing it in theory. That shared experience gives a team a concrete starting point for working on communication, focus and decision-making. Martial Arts Group (MAG) introduces companies, sports teams and federations to FightClinic when they want to work on behaviour in this way.
The partnership
How does the partnership benefit federations, gyms and athletes?
FightClinic shows how the lessons of the mat translate far beyond the sport. For MAG's network, that opens doors for both performance and growth.
Corporate
Behaviour-under-pressure training complements MAG's workshops, clinics and health programmes for companies looking for a team experience with lasting impact.
Athletes
Fighters develop self-insight, focus and resilience — qualities that count in the ring and in a professional career.
Gyms & clubs
Coaches gain a structured way to work on team culture, ownership and communication within competition squads.
Federations
Programmes for schools and youth care show the social value of martial arts — a strong story for community and sustainability initiatives.
Why FightClinic
Why does MAG partner with FightClinic?
MAG believes in the power of martial arts beyond the competition floor. FightClinic demonstrates that power in companies, classrooms and care settings, using the mat as a place where character becomes visible and can be developed.
Its motto — five fingers together form a fist — echoes MAG's own conviction that we are Stronger Together.
