Martial Arts Group’s athlete programme is the representation side of MAG: we help professional fighters build their personal brand, secure sponsorships and plan their careers, so they can focus on training and competing.

The athlete programme

What does Martial Arts Group do for athletes?

The athlete programme of Martial Arts Group (MAG) is a representation service for professional fighters that combines marketing, sponsorship and fight management under one roof. Talent alone rarely pays the bills in combat sports. Between fight camps, travel and recovery, a professional fighter has little time to negotiate contracts, run social media or approach brands. The programme takes that work off the athlete’s hands through three services: Marketing Management for social media, websites and press relations; Sponsorship Management for finding, negotiating and maintaining sponsorship deals; and Fight Management for fight selection, contract negotiations and long-term career planning. Each fighter’s career is treated as a long-term project with clear goals and a plan to reach them. The programme currently features Dutch mixed martial artist Brian “Hooibooi” Hooi, who competes in KSW on the Road to UFC.

Building a successful fighting career requires strong marketing, sponsorships, and strategic fight management. We help fighters enhance their personal brand, secure sponsorships, and navigate their careers with expert guidance.

Our three athlete services

Marketing Management

In today’s digital landscape, athletes need a strong personal brand. We provide social media management, website creation, and PR services to help fighters build a recognizable name and attract sponsorships.

Sponsorship Management

Finding and maintaining sponsorships is key to a athlete’s career. We assist in securing lucrative sponsorship deals, handling negotiations, and creating partnerships that benefit both the fighter and the sponsoring brand.

Fight Management

A fighter’s career depends on strategic fight selections, contract negotiations, and long-term planning. We offer comprehensive fight management services, ensuring that athletes make smart career moves that maximize their potential and earnings.

FAQ

Questions about our athlete programme

Which athletes does Martial Arts Group represent?

Martial Arts Group currently represents Dutch mixed martial artist Brian “Hooibooi” Hooi, who competes in KSW and is on the Road to UFC. His profile page sets out his roadmap of competitions, the partnership opportunities for sponsors and a KSW highlight reel. As the programme grows, new athletes will be added to this page with their own profile.

What services does MAG offer athletes?

MAG offers three services for athletes: Marketing Management (social media, websites and PR), Sponsorship Management (finding, negotiating and maintaining sponsorship deals) and Fight Management (fight selection, contract negotiations and long-term career planning). The services can be combined, so that a fighter’s brand, sponsors and competition calendar are planned together rather than separately.

How can I apply for representation by Martial Arts Group?

You can apply by contacting MAG at info@martialartsgroup.com, on +31 6 30 31 25 80 or through the contact page. Share your discipline and weight class, your competition history, upcoming fights, your social media channels and your goals for the next one to three years, and the team will arrange an introductory conversation.

Why does a professional fighter need representation?

A professional fighter needs representation because training and competing leave little time for marketing, sponsorships and career decisions. A representative such as Martial Arts Group takes on that commercial work — building the personal brand, securing and maintaining sponsorships and planning fights strategically — so the athlete can concentrate on performance in the gym and in the cage.

Can brands sponsor athletes through MAG?

Yes, brands can sponsor athletes through Martial Arts Group. Options include placement on fight shorts, training gear and walkout shirts, social media collaborations, VIP packages and event partnerships. MAG manages the relationship, from structuring the package to making sure the sponsor receives the agreed exposure, so that both the athlete and the sponsor get full value.
