What is a martial arts-based corporate health program?

A martial arts-based corporate health program is a structured series of workout sessions for employees, built on techniques from disciplines such as kickboxing and self-defense. Martial Arts Group (MAG) designs these programs for companies that want to improve employee health, energy and morale. Sessions combine cardiovascular conditioning, strength and coordination work with practical technique, giving employees a full-body workout that is engaging rather than repetitive. Unlike a generic gym subsidy, a program is delivered to your team as a group, in a rhythm that suits your working week, such as a weekly lunchtime class or an early-morning series. That shared format is what helps sessions support morale and connection as well as physical health. No prior experience is needed: instructors from MAG's network scale every exercise to the participant, and sessions can be run entirely without sparring. Programs are reviewed with you along the way, so the content can be adjusted as the group progresses.

Program design

How does MAG design a health program for your company?

Program design at Martial Arts Group (MAG) is a tailored process that turns your goals into a concrete session plan, starting with an intake conversation. In that conversation, MAG discusses the size and make-up of your team, the fitness levels involved, the space and time available, and what you want the program to achieve, whether that is more energy during the working week, a healthy routine people look forward to, or practical confidence through self-defense skills. From there MAG proposes a format and a rhythm, such as a weekly lunchtime class, an early-morning series or a block of sessions around a company initiative. The sessions are led by experienced martial arts trainers from MAG's network, who balance kickboxing, self-defense, conditioning and breathing work to suit the group. Programs are reviewed with you along the way through regular check-ins, so intensity and content can be adjusted as the group progresses.

Accessible to everyone

Who can take part?

Programs are designed for mixed groups. No prior martial arts experience is needed, sessions can be run without sparring or partner contact, and every exercise can be scaled up or down. That allows a colleague who has never trained to work alongside one who exercises daily, each at the right intensity.

Employees with injuries or health concerns are encouraged to tell the instructor beforehand, so that exercises can be adapted and nobody is pushed beyond what is safe for them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Health & Workout Programs

Do employees need martial arts experience to join?

No, employees do not need any martial arts experience to join. Programs are designed for complete beginners as well as experienced athletes. Instructors explain every technique step by step and scale the intensity to each participant, so a colleague who has never trained can work alongside one who exercises daily, each at a level that is safe and challenging.

Is there any sparring or physical contact?

No, sparring is not required and is not part of a program unless you ask for it. Techniques are practiced on pads, bags or in the air, so participants can train hard without being hit. The level of partner contact is agreed with you during the intake, and employees with injuries can tell the instructor beforehand so exercises are adapted.

How often do sessions take place?

Session frequency is agreed with you during the intake and depends on your goals and schedule. Common formats are a weekly lunchtime or early-morning class, or a defined series of sessions around a company initiative. Programs are reviewed through regular check-ins, so the rhythm can be changed if your team wants more or fewer sessions.

What does a program cost?

The cost of a program depends on four factors: the session format, the group size, the number and frequency of sessions, and the location. Because every program is tailored, MAG does not publish a standard rate. To get a quote, email info@martialartsgroup.com or call +31 6 30 31 25 80 with these details, and MAG will send a proposal.

Can a health program be combined with a workshop?

Yes, a health program can be combined with a workshop or clinic. Many companies start with a one-off workshop, for example on self-defense or resilience, and continue with a recurring program. Others add a workshop to an existing program to mark a team event or kick-off. MAG plans both together, so the themes and instructors connect.
